As you know, I want to be the next judge of the 313th Juvenile District Court. This is a very important role because as a judge of a juvenile court, I would make some very important decisions affecting the lives of our most important assets, our children. My decisions would be based on my goal of rehabilitating every child and rebuilding every family who enters my court. Through community involvement, family-focused interventions and by creating environments and opportunities for positive youth development, I believe that we can direct the lives of our children toward productive futures. With my decisions and your assistance, we can certainly provide the support our children need as they transition into adulthood so that they are prepared for success.
Once you read my about my background and my experience, you will immediately realize that I am very well qualified to serve as a judge in this court. However, one important fact that I want to highlight and which will become obvious once you meet and talk to me is that I am very passionate about making a difference in the lives of the children and families of Harris County. This passion shows in my community involvement, in my professional development and in my personal directives.
I also pledge that I will maintain transparency, integrity and justice in the juvenile courts. My court will be open to everyone. There is no room for intolerance in our judicial system, and it is unacceptable to me as a practicing attorney, a potential judge and a member of our society. This court shall serve the entire community of Harris County equally without special preference to any individuals or groups. Most importantly, I will apply the law fairly, independently and ethically.
